Axell Wireless brings its expertise to The DAS Forum

Joining The DAS Forum will help Axell promote DAS as an effective wireless coverage solution for challenging environments

Axell Wireless is delighted to announce that it has recently become a member of The DAS Forum – a US organisation dedicated to the development of the DAS (Distributed Antenna System) component of the nation’s wireless network.

The Forum is the only association that brings together a network of leaders focused exclusively on shaping the future of DAS and looks to cement Axell’s position within the US as a major player. Recently tipped by ABI Research as the next generation market leader in the global wireless in-building market, Axell has a unique and well established ability to provide in-building coverage for both cellular and public safety wireless services.

Matthew Thompson, VP Americas, said: “Becoming a fully-fledged member of The DAS Forum is something we are very proud of. We are seeing an industry-wide trend in investment in DAS technology as the explosion of mobile data usage continues, and we look forward to working with The Forum to promote DAS as an effective and efficient solution to providing wireless coverage in challenging environments.”

Axell brings over 40 years of experience in wireless coverage solutions to the table, having been involved in deploying systems in some of the world’s leading infrastructure buildings and complexes – one of the most high-profile in the US being The Pentagon in Washington.

Tracy Ford, DAS Forum Director added: “We are delighted to welcome Axell Wireless as a member and look forward to utilising their expertise in the global deployment of DAS to further promote its use in both public and private wireless coverage projects.”
