2014: the dawning of a new era
As I am writing this we are closing the end of another year, and it has been a significant one in terms of Axell’s history and our next steps.
2013 was a great year for the team and one we feel we can all be proud of.
In May, we made the big announcement of the year – that Axell had been acquired by Cobham. This is yet another milestone in the history of the company and we now have the weight of a true global technology giant behind us. The acquisition of Axell will enable Cobham to accelerate its focus on the commercial marketplace as well as providing access to the exciting and rapidly growing DAS and wireless coverage segment, presenting an additional customer base in an adjacent market.
The team at Cobham are proud of Axell and what we can bring to their product portfolio and as a result of joining the company we are able to present our customers with an enhanced set of solutions, complementary technologies, and a wider and more comprehensive global presence. 2014 looks to be a very exciting year indeed. A bedrock of Axell’s success over the last 7 years has been our relentless focus on product innovation – developing and supplying products that set new standards for functionality, price and performance in the industry. Products such as the D-CSR 3604, DIGImini, MBF-40 series and OMU II are just some examples. And 2014 will not disappoint, so watch this space for what’s to come.
I hope you have had a chance to celebrate over the new year and across the holiday season, and certainly at Axell, we are looking forward to another exciting year ahead.
